This proverb indicates that if a person has their own mouth and the ability to speak or eat, they will not fail to express themselves or satisfy their needs. Especially concerning eating, it implies that if one has a mouth, they won't go hungry. It also shows that a person will use their abilities and voice to obtain what they need for themselves.

ትርጉም

ይህ አባባል አንድ ሰው የራሱ አፍ ካለውና ለመናገር ወይም ለመብላት አቅም ካለው፣ ራሱን መግለጽ ወይም ፍላጎቱን ማርካት እንደማይሳነው ያሳያል። በተለይ ለመብላት ሲሆን፣ አፍ ካለ አይበላም አይባልም። እንዲሁም ሰው በችሎታውና በጉሮሮው (በመናገር አቅሙ) ተጠቅሞ ለራሱ የሚያስፈልገውን እንደሚያገኝ ያሳያል።
