ይህ ብሂል የሀብታሞችና የድሆች የኩራትና የክብር ምንጮችን ያነጻጽራል። ሀብታሞች በንብረታቸው ሲኮሩ፣ ድሆች ግን በዕውቀታቸው፣ በጥበባቸውና በሥነ ምግባራቸው ክብር እንደሚያገኙ ያሳያል። እውነተኛ ክብር ከውስጣዊ ባህሪያት እንጂ ከውጫዊ ሀብት እንደማይመጣ ይገልጻል።
