ዘጠኝም ቢታለብ ለኔ ያው ገሌ ነው

ትርጉም

This proverb conveys a sense of extreme poverty, lack of share, or being perpetually left out. It means that even if there is abundance or many opportunities (represented by 'nine' being milked), the speaker, due to their unfortunate circumstances or lack of access, still receives nothing or benefits minimally ('gele' meaning empty or nothing).

ይህ ብሂል አንድ ሰው እጅግ በጣም ድሃ፣ እድለ ቢስ ወይም የሌለለት በመሆኑ፣ ብዙ ነገር ቢኖርም (ለምሳሌ ብዙ ላሞች ቢታለቡም)፣ ለእሱ ምንም እንደማይደርሰው ወይም እዚህ ግባ የማይባል ጥቅም እንደሚያገኝ ይገልጻል። እጅግ ከፍተኛ የሆነ ድህነትን፣ ከጥቅም መገለልን ወይም ዘወትር ባዶ እጅ መሆንን ያሳያል።
