'አንጀት' ማለት በቀጥታ ሆድ ማለት ቢሆንም፣ በዘይቤ ግን ጥልቅ ፍቅርን፣ ውስጣዊ ስሜትን ወይም ልከኝነትን ያመለክታል። ስለዚህ 'ፍቅር ካንጀት በላይ' ማለት ከመጠን ያለፈ፣ ላዩን የሆነ ወይም ከተፈጥሮ፣ ከእውነተኛነት ወይም ከጤናማነት ያለፈ ፍቅር ማለት ነው። እንዲህ ያለው ጽንፈኛ ወይም ቅንነት የጎደለው ፍቅር 'እያደር ያቃቅር' ማለት ቀስ በቀስ ቅሬታን፣ ቂምን ወይም ችግርን/መፍረስን ያስከትላል። ምሳሌው እውነተኛ ጥልቀት የሌለው ወይም በድብቅ ዓላማ የሚመራ የተጋነነ፣ የግዳጅ ወይም ከመጠን በላይ ስሜታዊ ፍቅር በጊዜ ሂደት እንደሚበሰብስ ያስጠነቅቃል። በግንኙነቶች ውስጥ ልከኝነት እና ቅንነት ቁልፍ ናቸው።
