This proverb indicates that both situations are hopeless or severe. Just as an incurable patient has no solution, an unrepentant sinner has a narrow chance of salvation. It refers to a situation where something cannot be remedied.

ይህ ምሳሌ ሁለቱም ሁኔታዎች ተስፋ የሌላቸው ወይም ከባድ መሆናቸውን ያመለክታል። የማይድን በሽተኛ መፍትሄ እንደማይኖረው ሁሉ፣ ንስሃ የማይገባ ኃጢአተኛም የመዳን ዕድሉ የጠበበ ነው። አንድ ነገር ሊስተካከል የማይችልበትን ሁኔታ ያሳያል።
