ተጥዶ የማይፈላ ተሹሞ የማይበላ የለም

ትርጉም

This proverb suggests that anyone who holds power or responsibility in a position will secure and enjoy its benefits. Just as a pot placed on fire will eventually boil, anyone appointed to a position of power will eventually reap its benefits or 'eat' from it. It illustrates the connection between power and self-interest, implying that it is natural for people to seek their own advantage when they gain authority.
