This proverb refers to someone repeatedly doing something without noticing the situation or keeping up with the times. A deaf person, unable to hear their own voice, might cry repeatedly when once would suffice. ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው ሁኔታውን ሳያስተውል ወይም ከግዜው ጋር ሳይሄድ አንድን ነገር ደጋግሞ ሲያደርግ ያመለክታል። ደንቆሮ ሰው ድምፁን መስማት ስለማይችል፣ አንድ ጊዜ ማልቀስ ሲገባው ደጋግሞ ሊያለቅስ ይችላል። ይህ ደግሞ ሰዎች አንድን ነገር ውጤት ሳያስተውሉ ወይም ተቀባይነት ሳያገኙ ሲደግሙት ያለውን ከንቱነት ይገልጻል። ከሁኔታው ጋር ተዛማጅነት የሌለው ድርጊትን ያሳያል።
