ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው አንድን ተግባር በተሳካ ሁኔታ አጠናቆ ሲያበቃ ለጥረቱ የሚገባውን ምስጋና ወይም ሽልማት ሳይሆን፣ በተቃራኒው ቅጣት ወይም ችግር ሲያገኘው ለመግለጽ ያገለግላል። ኢፍትሃዊነትን ያመለክታል።
