እናያለን ሲሉ ይታያሉ እናማለን ሲሉ ይታማሉ
“When they say "we will see," they are seen. When they say "we will gossip," they are gossiped about.”
ትርጉም
This proverb means that people who are excessively watchful of others or prone to criticizing/gossiping often become the subject of observation and gossip themselves. If you are always looking to "see" (i.e., find fault or judge) others, you will in turn be "seen" (observed and judged). If you are always engaging in "gossip," you will be "gossiped about." It highlights the reciprocal nature of judgment and gossip, and encourages self-awareness.

ይህ ብሂል ሌሎችን ከመጠን በላይ የሚከታተሉ ወይም ለትችት/ሐሜት የተጋለጡ ሰዎች ራሳቸው ለክትትልና ለሐሜት እንደሚዳረጉ ያመለክታል። ሌሎችን ለመፈተሽ ወይም ለመፍረድ ሁልጊዜ የሚፈልጉ ከሆነ፣ በምላሹ "ይታያሉ" (ይከታተላሉ እና ይፈረድባቸዋል)። ሁልጊዜ "ሐሜት" ውስጥ የሚሳተፉ ከሆነ፣ "ይወራባቸዋል"። ይህ ብሂል በፍርድና በሐሜት ያለውን የጋራ ተጽዕኖ ያጎላል እንዲሁም ራስን ማወቅን ያበረታታል።
