ይህ ብሂል አንድን ነገር ከመነሻው ሳይሆን ከሚያስከትለው ውጤት በኋላ ለመቆጣጠር መሞከርን ይገልጻል። ችግሩን ከምንጩ ከመፍታት ይልቅ ምልክቶቹን ለማጥፋት መሞከር ከንቱ መሆኑን ያመለክታል። እንዲሁም አንድን ሰው በጣም በከፋ ሁኔታ መጉዳትን ወይም መጨቆንን ሊያመለክት ይችላል።
