This proverb illustrates that even if one tries to help or improve another person, the effort is in vain because the recipient shows no effort or response. It means the help offered was not utilized by the recipient.

ይህ ምሳሌ ማለት አንድ ሰው ሌላውን ለመርዳት ወይም ለማሻሻል ቢሞክርም፣ ተረጂው ምንም ዓይነት ጥረት ወይም ምላሽ ባለማሳየቱ ምክንያት ጥረቱ ከንቱ መሆኑን ያሳያል። የተደረገለት ሳይጠቀምበት መቅረት።
