“Telling a secret to a light (frivolous) person is like tying teff in a torn sack.”
This proverb means that entrusting a secret to an untrustworthy, frivolous, or talkative person is utterly futile and foolish. The secret is bound to be revealed, just as fine grains of teff will inevitably spill from a torn sack.
