ይህ ብሂል አንድ ሰው በራሱ ጥረትና ልፋት ያገኘው ነገር ምንም ትንሽ ቢሆን ከሌላ ሰው በልፋት ከቀረበለት ነገር ይበልጥ ጣፋጭና የሚያረካ መሆኑን ለማሳየት ይጠቀማል። የራሱን ጉልበት ተጠቅሞ ከዐጥንት የመጠጠው ቅልጥም (ቅልጥሙ ራሱ ጣፋጭ ቢሆንም) በልፋት ካልተገኘ ብርንዶ ይበልጥ ጣፋጭ ሆኖ እንደሚሰማው ይገልጻል። የጥረትንና የድካምን ፍሬ ከፍ እንደሚያደርግ ያሳያል።
