ትርጉም

The 'threshing floor' (ቋት) is where grain is threshed, not sown. This proverb illustrates the folly of making rash, desperate, or inappropriate decisions based on the mistaken belief that circumstances will never improve or change ('thinking it wouldn't dawn'). It warns against acting out of hopelessness or a lack of foresight, leading to actions that are doomed to fail or are fundamentally unsuitable.

ትርጉም

'እቋት' ማለት እህል የሚወቃበት ቦታ ሲሆን ለመዝራት የማይመች ነው. ምሳሌው የሚያሳየው አንድ ሰው ሁኔታዎች አይለወጡም ብሎ በማሰብ, ያልታሰበ እና ትክክል ያልሆነ ውሳኔ ሲያደርግ ነው. ተስፋ መቁረጥ ወይም የሁኔታዎችን ለውጥ አለመጠበቅ ስህተት እንደሆነ ያሳያል.
