ይህ ብሂል አንድ ሰው ፍርድ ወይም ኩነኔ የሚገባው ከሆነ፣ በፍትህ፣ በስምምነት ወይም በህግ መሰረት እንጂ በዘፈቀደ ወይም ያለአግባብ መሆን እንደሌለበት ያለውን ፍላጎት ይገልጻል። ግልጽነትና ፍትህ የጎደለው ውሳኔ ከመቀበል ይልቅ በህግ መመራት ይመረጣል።
