ለቤት ሳማ ለውጭ ቄጤማ

ትርጉም

This proverb describes a hypocritical person who is unkind, harsh, or problematic to their own family and household members ('thorns inside the house'), but projects a kind, generous, or respectable image to outsiders ('decorative palm leaves outside'). It highlights a disparity between public persona and private behavior.
