ይህ ምሳሌ የቅንጦት ወይም ጥረት በሌለበት ምቹ ኑሮ የሚኖሩ ሰዎችን ለመግለጽ በአሽሙርነት ያገለግላል። ምቹ በሆነ አካባቢ (ደጋ) የሚኖሩና በምቾት (በአልጋ) የሚተኙ መሆናቸው ምንም ድካም ሳይሰማቸው ጥሩ ህይወት እንደሚመሩ ይጠቁማል።
