ቀልደኛ አልቅሶ ካልተናገረ የሚያምነው የለም

ትርጉም

This proverb indicates that if a person who always jokes or takes things lightly speaks the truth, people won't readily believe them. It shows that their habitual behavior diminishes the credibility of their words even when they speak truthfully. Generally, it expresses that a person's reputation or image lends weight or detracts from their words.
