ሴት አማት የመረዘው ኮሶ ያነዘዘው
“What the mother-in-law poisoned, koso made him tremble.”
ትርጉም
This proverb describes a situation where someone is already suffering from one problem or affliction (represented by the mother-in-law's poison), and then an attempt to resolve that problem, or a subsequent event, introduces new and severe difficulties, making the situation even worse or causing additional distress. It highlights the irony where a supposed remedy or subsequent action brings about more pain or complications, akin to being sick from poison and then suffering severe side effects from the medicine meant to cure it. It signifies being caught between two bad situations or experiencing compounded suffering.
