ደወል እንደ ጠዋቱ ትጮሀ ለች

ትርጉም

This proverb is used to show that an old habit or behavior has continued unchanged. 'The bell rings as it did in the morning (for her)' implies that the sound of the bell is ringing now (for the woman) just as it did in the morning. This means that a person has not changed their long-standing habits or behavior; they always act in the same way. It is particularly used to refer to someone with a bad habit who repeatedly does the same thing.

ይህ ምሳሌ የቆየ ልማድ ወይም ባህሪ ሳይለወጥ እንደቀጠለ ለማሳየት ያገለግላል። 'ደወል እንደ ጠዋቱ ትጮሀ ለች' ማለት የደወል ድምፅ ጠዋት እንደነበረው ሁሉ አሁን ደግሞ (ለሴትየዋ) እንደሚጮህ ያመለክታል። ይህም ማለት አንድ ሰው የረጅም ጊዜ ልማዱን ወይም ባህሪውን አልለወጠም፤ ሁልጊዜም በተመሳሳይ መንገድ ያደርጋል ማለት ነው። በተለይ መጥፎ ልማድ ላለው ሰው በተደጋጋሚ ተመሳሳይ ነገር ሲያደርግ ለማመልከት ይጠቅማል።
