This proverb illustrates that a person will leave their job if they do not receive the deserved value or benefit for their work. Hamle is a heavy rainy season, and while traveling might be difficult at this time, the proverb implies that the servant, not having received his pay, will overcome the difficulty and flee. This shows that if a person does not receive fair compensation for their labor, they will seek something better, even at great sacrifice.
