ትርጉም

This proverb illustrates that a person who tries to save or hide themselves out of fear might fall into an even worse danger. Even though the cowardly person went into a hole, they couldn't escape the attack of a rat (a small creature) there. This means that trying to escape from a problem often leads to a worse problem, or that courage is needed to face problems.

ይህ ምሳሌ ከመፍራት የተነሳ ራሱን ለማዳን ወይም ለመደበቅ የሚሞክር ሰው ይበልጥ የከፋ አደጋ ውስጥ ሊገባ እንደሚችል ያሳያል። ፈሪው ሰው ወደ ጉድጓድ ቢገባም፣ እዚያም ቢሆን ከአይጥ (ትንሽ ፍጥረት) ጥቃት ማምለጥ አልቻለም። ይህ ማለት ከችግር ለመሸሽ መሞከር ብዙ ጊዜ ወደ ከፋ ችግር እንደሚመራ ወይም ችግሩን ለመቋቋም ድፍረት እንደሚያስፈልግ ይገልጻል።
