This proverb highlights the fundamental cycle of life and the eventual return to one's origins or basic necessities. It suggests that no matter how much one travels, experiences, or deviates, life's sustenance (from the earth) and one's ultimate resting place or true belonging (home) are inescapable. After all wanderings, one always returns to their roots or the essentials.

ይህ ምሳሌ የህይወትን መሰረታዊ ዑደት እና ወደ መነሻችን ወይም ወደ መሰረታዊ ፍላጎታችን መመለስን ያመለክታል። የሰው ልጅ ምንም ያህል ቢстранቱр፣ የመኖሪያው መሰረት (መሬት) እና ማረፊያው (ቤት) አይጠፋም። የትም ቢሄድ መጨረሻው ወደ ቤቱ እንደሚሆን ይገልጻል።
