ትርጉም

This proverb advises caution and avoidance of potentially harmful people or situations. Both a chief (an authority figure) and a sharp stone can cause harm – the chief through power or judgment, and the stone through physical injury. It's a warning to keep a distance from those who can bring trouble or inflict damage.

አለቃ (ስልጣን ያለው ሰው) ስልጣኑን ተጠቅሞ ጉዳት ሊያደርስ ስለሚችል፣ እንዲሁም ሹል ድንጋይ አካላዊ ጉዳት እንደሚያደርስ ሁሉ፣ ከሁለቱም መራቅ እንደሚሻል ያሳያል። ችግር ወይም ጉዳት ሊያስከትሉ ከሚችሉ ሰዎችና ሁኔታዎች መራቅን ይመክራል።
