ይህ ብሂል በገንዘብ ወይም በሀብት ላይ የተመሰረተ ማህበራዊ ልዩነትን ያሳያል። ባለሀብት የሆነ ሰው ያለውን ሲጠቀም፣ የሌለው ሰው ግን አቅመ ቢስ ሆኖ እንደሚቀመጥ ይገልጻል። እንዲሁም አቅም ባላቸውና በሌላቸው መካከል ያለውን ልዩነት ያጎላል።
