ይህ ብሂል አንድ ሰው ዝቅተኛ ወይም በቂ ያልሆነ ደመወዝ (ለምሳሌ በስንዴ) ከተከፈለው፣ ከፍተኛ ተነሳሽነት ይኖረዋል ወይም ልዩ ስራ ይሰራል ተብሎ እንደማይጠበቅ ያመለክታል። የሥራ ጥራት ብዙውን ጊዜ ከደመወዝ ጋር የተመጣጠነ መሆኑንና ዝቅተኛ ክፍያ ዝቅተኛ አፈጻጸም ወይም የቁርጠኝነት እጥረትን እንደሚያስከትል ይገልጻል።
