This proverb indicates that relatives (especially when numerous and interfering) and goats (due to their habits) can harm or destroy a household. Relatives can sometimes cause excessive interference or disagreements, just as goats jump fences and eat plants, both potentially leading to the decline of a home.

ይህ ብሂል ዘመዶች (በተለይ ብዙ ሲሆኑ እና በጉዳዮች ላይ ሲገቡ) እና ፍየሎች (በልማዳቸው ምክንያት) አንድን ቤት ሊጎዱ ወይም ሊያፈርሱ እንደሚችሉ ያሳያል። ዘመዶች አንዳንድ ጊዜ ከመጠን በላይ ጣልቃ ገብነት ወይም አለመግባባት ሲፈጥሩ ፍየሎች ደግሞ አጥር ዘልለው እፅዋትን እንደሚበሉ ሁሉ ለቤት ውድቀት መንስኤ ሊሆኑ ይችላሉ።
