ጅብ ከላይ ውሀ ሲጠጣ ከታች ያለችውን አህያ አታደፍርሽብኝ አለ

ትርጉም

This proverb illustrates the unjust oppression and baseless accusations made by the powerful against the weak. The hyena, drinking upstream, is the one who would be muddying the water, not the donkey downstream. However, the hyena, wanting to serve its own interest or harm the donkey, falsely accuses it without reason. This depicts a powerful entity unjustly harming a weaker one without valid cause.

ትርጉም

ይህ ምሳሌ የኃያላን ወገን በደካሞች ላይ የሚፈጽመውን ኢፍትሃዊ ጭቆናና ምክንያታዊ ያልሆነ ክስ ይገልጻል። ጅቡ ከላይ ሆኖ ውሀ ሲጠጣ፣ ውሀውን የሚያደፈርሰው እሱ እንጂ ከታች ያለችው አህያ አይደለችም። ነገር ግን ጅቡ የአህያዋን ጥፋት ሳይሆን የራሱን ጥቅም ለማስከበር ወይም አህያዋን ለመጉዳት ሲፈልግ ያለ ምክንያት ይከሳታል። ይህ ደግሞ አቅም ያለው አካል ያለ በቂ ምክንያት አቅም የሌለውን ሲበድል ያሳያል።
