This proverb illustrates the profound lack of awareness or understanding of a foolish person. A fool, even when being swept away by danger or misfortune (like water carrying them away), remains oblivious and might even laugh, failing to comprehend the gravity of their situation. It highlights extreme foolishness and lack of foresight.
