ያበደ ለኑሮው የፈረደ ለጉሮሮው
“The madman for his life, the condemned for his throat.”
ትርጉም
This proverb refers to a person who is careless or indifferent about their future livelihood or immediate sustenance. Just as a mentally disturbed person lacks the capacity to think about their life, a person whose fate is already sealed (condemned) also does not care about their own 'throat' (their immediate survival or well-being). In general, it is used to describe someone who does not plan for tomorrow, lives without caution, or is in a state of despair and thus does not worry about their own safety or future.
