ይህ ምሳሌ ጉዳት ወይም ኢፍትሐዊነት በደረሰበት ሰው ላይ ዘላቂ ተጽዕኖ እንደሚተው ያሳያል፣ ጉዳቱን ያደረሰው ሰው ተግባሩን ቢረሳውም እንኳ። ህመም ወይም በደል የደረሰባቸው ሰዎች ትዝታውን ለረጅም ጊዜ፣ አንዳንዴም ለዘላለም ይዘው እንደሚኖሩ ያጎላል፣ ጉዳቱን ካደረሱት በተቃራኒ።
