ውሀ ምን ያገሳ ድሀ ምን ያወሳ

Meaning

This proverb rhetorically questions the obvious. Water roars because it's its nature or due to its force (like a river). A poor person complains because of their difficult circumstances. It implies that people (or things) act according to their nature or circumstances, and their actions/expressions are often a direct result of their situation.

ትርጉም

ይህ ብሂል ግልጽ የሆነውን ነገር በምፀት ይጠይቃል። ውሃ የሚያገሳው በባሕርዩ ወይም በኃይሉ ነው። ድሀ የሚያወሳው ወይም የሚያማርረው ደግሞ በአስቸጋሪ ሁኔታው ምክንያት ነው። ሰዎች (ወይም ነገሮች) በተፈጥሯቸው ወይም በሁኔታቸው መሰረት እንደሚሰሩ ያመለክታል፣ ድርጊቶቻቸው/አገላለጾቻቸውም ብዙውን ጊዜ የሁኔታቸው ቀጥተኛ ውጤት ናቸው።
