ልጅና ወረቀት የያዘውን አይለቅም

Meaning

This proverb likens two things. Just as a child doesn't easily let go of what they hold, so too does paper (especially in the context of history or writing) not easily release or forget something once it has grasped or documented it. It shows that both have the characteristic of holding onto or recording things firmly.

ትርጉም

ይህ ብሂል ሁለት ነገሮችን ያመሳስላል። ልክ ልጅ የያዘውን ነገር በቀላሉ ለመልቀቅ እንደማይፈልግ፣ እንዲሁ ወረቀትም (በተለይ ታሪክ ወይም ጽሑፍ) አንድን ነገር ከያዘ ወይም ከሰነደፈው በቀላሉ አይለቅም ወይም አይረሳም። ሁለቱም ነገሮችን በአጥብቆ የመያዝ ወይም የመመዝገብ ባህሪ እንዳላቸው ያሳያል።
