ነገር ለሰሚ ውሀ ለሎሚ

Meaning

This proverb means that a message or advice should be given to a receptive listener ('words for the listener'), and water should be given to a plant that needs it ('water for the lemon'). It indicates that something only has meaning when given to the right place or to the person who needs it.

ትርጉም

ይህ ብሂል መልዕክት ወይም ምክር ተቀባይ ላለው ሰው መነገር እንዳለበት ('ነገር ለሰሚ') እና ውሃ ለሚያስፈልገው ተክል መሰጠት እንዳለበት ('ውሀ ለሎሚ') ያሳያል። አንድ ነገር ትክክለኛ ቦታው ላይ ወይም ለሚያስፈልገው ሰው ሲሰጥ ትርጉም እንደሚኖረው ይገልጻል።
