ለድካም የጣፈኝ ብነግድ አይተርፈኝ

Meaning

This proverb expresses a fatalistic belief that one's destiny is fixed, especially concerning hardship or poverty. It suggests that no matter how much effort one puts into work or business, if it's 'written' (predetermined) for them to struggle, their efforts will always be insufficient, and they will never escape their predicament.

ይህ ምሳሌ ምንም እንኳን አንድ ሰው ጠንክሮ ቢሰራም ወይም ቢነግድም ዕጣ ፈንታው ሁልጊዜም በድህነትና በችግር እንዲኖር ከተወሰነበት፣ ስራው ሁሉ ከንቱ ሆኖ እንደሚቀር ያሳያል። የድካሙ ፍሬ እንደማይበቃለት የሚገልጽ ሀሳብ ነው።
