ይህ ምሳሌ ብዙ ንግግር ወይም ወሬ ያለ ነገር ግን ምንም ተግባራዊ ውጤት የሌለውን ሁኔታ ይገልጻል። አንድ ሰው ብዙ ያወራል ወይም ቃል ይገባል (ጆሮው በላ)፣ ነገር ግን ምንም ተግባራዊ ጥቅም አያመጣም (ሆዱ ጦሙን አደረ)። እንዲሁም ትርጉም የሌላቸው ወሬዎችን በማዳመጥ ጊዜ ማባከን ውጤት እንደሌለው ያሳያል።
