በእንቅርት ላይ ጆሮ ደግፍ

Meaning

This proverb describes a situation where an existing problem is compounded by another. A goiter (እንቅርት) is already a medical condition, and 'ጆሮ ደግፍ' (earlobe swelling/problem) added to it signifies another difficulty or ailment. Therefore, it means to add another problem on top of an already existing one, making the situation even worse.

ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ችግር ላይ ሌላ ችግር ሲጨመርበት ያለውን ሁኔታ ይገልጻል። 'እንቅርት' ራሱ በሽታ ሲሆን 'ጆሮ ደግፍ' ደግሞ በእንቅርት ላይ የመጣ ሌላ ችግር ወይም በሽታ ነው። ስለዚህ፣ ይህ ማለት ቀድሞውንም ችግር ባለበት ላይ ሌላ ተጨማሪ ችግር መደራረብ፣ ሁኔታውን ይበልጥ ማባባስ ማለት ነው።
