ያብዬን እከክ ወደ እምዬ ላከከ

Meaning

This proverb describes someone who passes their problem or responsibility to another person. 'Itch' (እከክ) refers to an annoying problem. Instead of directly solving their own problem (grandfather's itch), the person directs it to another (grandmother), illustrating an evasion of responsibility or dumping one's problems onto someone else.

ትርጉም

ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው ችግሩን ወይም ሃላፊነቱን ለሌላ ሰው ሲያስተላልፍ ወይም ሲያላክክ ይገልጻል። 'እከክ' ማለት ማሳከክ ሲሆን ይህም የሚያስቸግር ነገርን ያመለክታል። አንድ ሰው የራሱን ችግር (የአያቱን እከክ) በቀጥታ ከመፍታት ይልቅ ለሌላ (ለአያቷ) በማዞር፣ ሃላፊነትን እንደመሸሽ ወይም ችግሩን በሌላው ላይ እንደማፍሰስ ያሳያል።
