ለሰው ሞት አነሰው ውሻውንስ ፈሴ መለሰው አለች ቀበሮ

✦

“For a human's death it's too little, but for its dog, my fart returned it, said the fox.”

Meaning

This proverb illustrates thinking only of one's small benefit while belittling the suffering or loss of others. The fox considers a human's death a small matter, insignificant to her. However, if something of her own (even her dog) were lost or harmed, she would consider it a huge matter. The phrase 'my fart returned it' (despite its crudeness) indicates how even her most insignificant things are believed by her to be very important. It demonstrates selfishness and a lack of concern for others.
