Meaning

This proverb highlights the unfortunate reality that the suffering and complaints of the poor often go unnoticed or have little impact. Even if a poor person cries out and expresses their troubles, it rarely draws the attention or solution from others. Their 'day' doesn't lessen, meaning their problems don't end, and their suffering doesn't diminish.

ይህ ምሳሌ የሚያሳየው የድሆች ሰቆቃና ችግር ብዙ ጊዜ የማይሰማና ተፅዕኖ የሌለው መሆኑን ነው። ድሃው ቢያለቅስም፣ ችግሩን ቢገልጽም፣ የሌሎች ትኩረት አይስብም ወይም መፍትሄ አያገኝም። ቀኑ አይመሽም፣ ማለትም ችግሩ አያልቅም፣ ስቃዩም አይቀንስም።
