ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው በህይወት እያለ ምንም ጥቅም ሳይሰጥ ሲቀር፣ ከሞተ በኋላም (ወይም ከሄደ በኋላም) ችግር ወይም ሸክም መሆኑን ያሳያል። በሁለቱም ሁኔታዎች ሸክም የሆነ ነገር ወይም ሰው ማለት ነው።
