ይህ ምሳሌ ከችግር በኋላ የሚመጣን ምስጋና ቢስነትና እርዳታን ወይም መለኮታዊ ኃይልን መርሳትን ያወግዛል። ሰዎች በችግር ጊዜ ኃይማኖተኛ ወይም ለእርዳታ ተማጽነው፣ ከፈወሱ ወይም ችግራቸው ከተፈታ በኋላ ግን ቃላቸውን ወይም እርዳታውን እንደሚረሱ ያሳያል።
