Meaning

This proverb suggests that certain things have inherent, unparalleled power or authority. Tej (honey wine) is a strong alcoholic drink, implying nothing intoxicates more. The owner (ባለቤት) has ultimate authority and knowledge about their own property or affairs, so their testimony is the most credible. It means that some sources or entities are the ultimate authority or cause for certain effects.
