እንጀራ ያለው ክቡድ እንጀራ የሌለው እብድ

Meaning

This proverb illustrates the impact of wealth and poverty on a person's character and way of life. 'He who has enjera is noble' signifies that a person with money or food is respected in society and leads a stable life. 'He who has no enjera is mad' suggests that a person lacking necessities might become mentally disturbed, anxious, and exhibit irrational behavior due to hardship and hunger. It describes the severity of poverty and the psychological pressure it exerts.

ይህ ምሳሌ የሀብትና የድህነትን ተፅዕኖ በሰው ልጅ ስብዕናና አኗኗር ላይ ያሳያል። 'እንጀራ ያለው ክቡድ' ማለት ገንዘብ ወይም ምግብ ያለው ሰው በህብረተሰቡ ዘንድ ክብር እንደሚሰጠውና ህይወቱ የተረጋጋ እንደሆነ ያሳያል። 'እንጀራ የሌለው እብድ' ማለት ደግሞ የሌለው ሰው በችግርና በረሃብ ምክንያት አእምሮው ሊናወጥ፣ ጭንቀት ሊበዛበትና ምክንያታዊ ያልሆነ ባህሪ ሊያሳይ እንደሚችል ያሳያል። የድህነትን ከባድነትና የሚያስከትለውን ስነ ልቦናዊ ጫና ይገልጻል።
