ተኩላ እንደ አንበሳ እጮህ ብላ ተተረተረች

Meaning

This proverb illustrates that when someone tries to do something beyond their capacity or attempts to imitate the identity and abilities of others, they bring disaster upon themselves. Just as the wolf harmed itself by trying to imitate a lion's roar, if a person tries to be what they are not, the outcome can be ruinous.

ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው ካቅሙ በላይ የሆነ ነገር ለማድረግ ሲሞክር ወይም የሌሎችን ማንነትና ችሎታ ለመምሰል ሲጥር በራሱ ላይ አደጋ እንደሚያመጣ ያሳያል። ተኩላ የአንበሳን ጩኸት ለመምሰል በመሞከር ራሱን እንደጎዳው ሁሉ፣ አንድ ሰው ያልሆነውን ለመሆን ከሞከረ ውጤቱ ጥፋት ሊሆን ይችላል።
