This proverb describes someone who is careless and reckless. They are easily hurt by small things (like a pebble hurting their foot) yet expose themselves to great danger (like a spear to the forehead). It implies a lack of judgment in assessing risks and protecting oneself.

ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው ግድ የለሽ እና ቸልተኛ መሆኑን ያብራራል። በትንንሽ ነገሮች በቀላሉ ይጎዳል (እንደ ጠጠር እግሩን ሲጎዳ) ነገር ግን ራሱን ለትልቅ አደጋ (እንደ ግንባሩ ላይ ጦር) ያጋልጣል። አደጋዎችን በመገምገም እና ራስን በመጠበቅ ረገድ የፍርድ ጉድለትን ያመለክታል።
