የሞኝ ምስጋና የግንቦት ደመና

Meaning

This proverb means that praise from a foolish person is unreliable, shallow, inconsistent, and ultimately meaningless. It compares it to the clouds of May (Ginbot in the Ethiopian calendar), which often appear but bring little rain or dissipate quickly, signifying that such praise holds no real substance or value.
