ለላም ቀንዷ አይከብዳትም

Meaning

This proverb is used to explain that one's own responsibilities, problems, or possessions do not feel as heavy to them as they might appear to others. Just as a cow's horns are a natural part of its body and do not feel heavy, similarly, parents do not tire of caring for their children, or a person does not find their own responsibilities burdensome.

ትርጉም

ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው የራሱ የሆኑ ሃላፊነቶች፣ ችግሮች ወይም ንብረቶች ከሌሎች እንደሚጠብቀው ከባድ እንዳልሆኑ ለመግለጽ ይጠቅማል። ላም ቀንድዋ የተፈጥሮዋ አካል ስለሆነች አይከብዳትም፤ እንደዚሁም ወላጆች ለልጆቻቸው የሚያደርጉት ነገር ወይም አንድ ሰው የራሱን ሃላፊነት ሲወጣ አይሰለቸውም ወይም አይከብደውም ማለት ነው።
