Meaning

This proverb suggests that a good parent treats all children lovingly and fairly, offering encouragement and care. In contrast, a bad parent shows favoritism, often by unfairly preferring a stepchild (or one child over another), thereby creating disharmony and injustice within the family.

ጥሩ አባት ልጆቹን በእኩልነት የሚያይና የሚያንከባከብ መሆኑን ያሳያል። ክፉ አባት ግን በልጆቹ መካከል ልዩነት በማድረግ፣ በተለይ ለእንጀራ ልጅ ወይም ለአንዱ ልጅ ማድላት እንደሚችል ይገልጻል። አድልኦንና መጥፎ የወላጅነትን ያወግዛል።
