ያዋቂ አጥፊ የእስራኤል ጣፊ

Meaning

This proverb describes a paradoxical or hypocritical character: someone who undermines wisdom or knowledge ('destroyer of the knowledgeable') yet pretends to be a keeper of sacred texts or authority ('writer of Israel'). It points to a destructive intellectual who nonetheless claims moral or scholarly authority.

ትርጉም

ይህ ብሂል አንድ ሰው ጠቢባንን ወይም ዕውቀትን የሚያጠፋ ሆኖ ሳለ፣ በሌላ በኩል ደግሞ የእስራኤልን ታሪክ ወይም ቅዱስ ጽሑፎችን እንደሚጽፍ ሰው ሆኖ ሲቀርብ ያመለክታል። ይህ ማለት፣ አንድ ሰው በመሠረቱ አጥፊ ወይም አላዋቂ ሆኖ ሳለ፣ የዕውቀት ወይም የሃይማኖታዊ ስልጣን አስመስሎ ሲቀርብ ያለውን ግብዝነትና ተቃርኖ ይገልጻል።
